Earlier this week the State of West Virginia has announced that they have reached a new reciprocity agreement with Colorado. This agreement includes that the two states will begin honoring each other’s respective concealed weapon permits.
This means that Colorado citizens that have Colorado State issues concealed handgun permits can now continue to carry their concealed weapons in the state of West Virginia. If you have family there or perhaps travel there often for business than this could be big news!
As a final note of warning, remember that even if another state honors your permit you still have an obligation to research that state’s laws before tranveling their with your weapon.
Here is the West Virginia state website where they officially reference their reciprocity agreements. Have a great weekend!
